About the Chief Instructor

Sensei JOSE SORIANO JR. 5th dan Chief Instructor. Affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation

He started Aikido in 1976 under Sensei Johnny Tenegra of Philippine Aikikai, and founder of PAPA. He was promoted to Shodan (1st dan) by N. Ichihashi Shihan from the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. He became a Chief Instructor and Co-founder of Pilipinas Aikido Propagation Association (PAPA). He was promoted to Nidan (2nd dan) by M. Saganuma Shihan and then promoted to Sandan (3rd dan) by N. Ichihashi Shihan. He was promoted to Yodan (4th dan) by the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan under Aikido Doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba, the son of the founder O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba. He attended most of the International Aikido Federation General Assembly and seminars in Japan. In 1995, he immigrated to the USA and continues teaching the art of Aikido. He was promoted to 5th dan by Shihan Y. Yamada.
